Why this exists

For twenty years the job was making websites legible to a search engine that rendered pages and ranked links. That problem is well understood and thoroughly serviced.

The newer problem is different in kind. An agent is not ranking you; it is trying to complete a task on someone’s behalf. It fetches your HTML, usually without executing your JavaScript, tries to work out what you sell, and tries to act. When that fails it does not report an error or drop you a position. It simply uses a competitor it could read, and nobody on your side ever finds out.

Almost everything about that failure is invisible from a browser. Your site looks fine, your analytics look fine, and the traffic you lose is traffic you never knew was coming. That gap between what a person sees and what a program receives is the entire subject of our work.

How we work

• No finding without evidence

  If we cannot show you the request and the response, we do not report it. A score you cannot audit is a score you should not trust, and that applies to ours as much as anyone's.

• The rubric is public

  Every check, every point weight, every threshold, published and versioned. You can disagree with a specific check and name it. Most audit businesses depend on you not being able to.

• We audit ourselves in public

  This site is scored against the same rubric we sell, and the result is published, including the checks we have not finished. Selling agent readiness from a site nobody has audited would be absurd.

• We say when there is nothing to do

  Some sites are already fine. Telling you that costs us a sale and buys something more useful. An audit that always finds an expensive problem is a sales document.
